I test for ovulation the day after my period finishes. And I tested twice a day, one in the early afternoon and once at night.

Ovulation varies per person but it’s usually 14 days after the first day of your last period then there’s a two week wait or so to test for pregnancy.

I'd be safe and get a ton of them, enough to last all month, and take them every day. I'm almost 100% positive that I conceived our son while on my period because we had tried for a year and I tracked everything and the one time we had sex during my period I got pregnant and we hadn't been doing it around the typical ovulation time.
