At home pregnancy test?

Ok y’all I’m confused! I was told not to do an at home pregnancy test because progesterone can cause a false positive, but I see everyone on here using them?!?!

I have never heard of progesterone to cause a false positive🤷🏼‍♀️🤔 are you sure you’re not thinking maybe progesterone mimics pregnancy symptoms?   I’d go ahead and test if it’s time!

Progesterone doesn’t cause positive results. However, if you took a hCG trigger shot THAT will give you a positive test because it’s the same pregnancy hormone that the test is measuring. As Cole said above, maybe they were talking about progesterone causing pregnancy symptoms?

Progesterone does not cause false positives. I’ve done several medicated/monitored cycles and the process always was to take a home test on 14dpo. The results were always accurate.
