Every since my oldest daughter stopped wearing diapers she has on and off had some redness, tenderness and a kind of sickly sweet smell around her lady parts. I thought we weren’t washing well enough at first, then realized that she would sometimes pee just a little in her undies before making it to the potty, so I would frequently change them through the day until she grew out of that, then I thought we must not be wiping well enough, and nothing has worked. Her family doc never has appt availability so I took her to urgent care once and they pretty much told me to let her run around naked after her bath and handed me a bill (barely even looked at her). Has anybody had this problem? How do you fix it? When it flares up she calls it “burny” and it breaks my heart.
