Nexplanon-prolonged period?
UPDATE: 4-29-19 today I stopped bleeding. Yesterday i had on and off low flow. But today AF is gone.
So I got Nexplanon implant on March 29, 2019. I stared my period on April 16. I’m about to go on my 10th day bleeding. Is not heavy flow, it’s more like a medium - light... yesterday it was super light and I thought today’s was gonna be gone but NO the flow went back to Medium.
This is my second time having Nexplanon. The first time I had it from October 2014 to February 2016. Although I did had some irregular bleeding sometimes in the middle of the cycle I never experienced my period that long.
I had my daughter in Jan 2017.
After I had my daughter I was told I had endometriosis and was told it would be nearly impossible to get pregnant again.
But I did got pregnant but unfortunately
miscarried in July 2018.
After my miscarriage i was told I also have PCOS.
Does anybody know if this period is normal?
I don’t remember having my period this long! Ever!
My periods prior to Nexplanon were very painful, and lots of clogs and my flow was super heavy I needed to wear adult diapers the first two days then I would have a day of medium flow and a day of light flow and on the fifth day just spotting almost nothing.
This is my first period since I had the Nexplanon implant inserted on March 29 and although it’s prolonged more than the usual 5 days of menstruation I did not get any pain nor did I get clogs.
I wonder if this is a normal period? 10+ days?
Should I call my doctor? Or should I wait it out?
