Yellow spit up ??

My baby is 2 days old I’ve been breastfeeding and I just tried burping him and he spit up yellow fluid idk if it’s normal. Any suggestions

Are you breastfeeding? This looks like when my son spit up his colostrum in the hospital. If you're worried, give your nurse's hotline a call, or if you're still in the hospital ask a nurse about it.

It’s because your breastmilk is still colostrum / so the colour of your breastmilk is actually like An orangey-yellow colour. You don’t notice unless you pump and then see the colour difference a few days later when your milk is in.
