Advice?

My boyfriend and i have been together for six years, living together for almost 3 now. I've recently been talking about getting married because my grandma passed away suddenly last year and my other grandmother just had a heart attack. We want our whole family to be there. So I've been talking more and more about it. Kind of web shopping for cheap dresses and rings. Well i sent him a couple ideas for rings we could get... And he said that he wants to marry me, but not while we are both poor. He said he can't afford a ring right now and the bills are slowly eating away at his savings.... I feel like i got slapped across the face. He won't marry me because I'm poor? Am i wrong to be upset about this? I understand wanting to have money saved up and also not wanting to spend it on a one time occasion... But I've said multiple times that money didnt matter to me, i was looking at his and her sets of rings under $100 and i wouldve been fine with a park wedding and a thrift store dress. All I'm really interested in... Is marrying him... But now I'm wondering... Should i?
