Hey all!

I started taking the combined contraceptive pill Yasmín 8 days ago. I have been on this before for many years and had no issue but stopped taking the pill for a year due to not being sexually active.

After restarting the pill I had some spotting in the first few days, which I know is quite normal! On the fourth day I developed severe neck and head pain, similar to that of a migraine. It’s on the left side of my head and I’ve almost lost all movement in the left side of my neck.

I know migraines and headaches are linked with hormone changes in our body but do you think these are linked? Or has anyone experienced something similar?
