If you lose your social security, birth certificate, and license, can you even get any of it back? I lost my wallet yesterday and EVERYTHING was in it. 😭

I just recently got my license on 4/02/19. I still have the paper version of my license. Could that help get my stuff back? I can not believe that I was dumb enough to carry around all of that stuff. If anyone has any advice, I’d appreciate it! 😭

Yes, if you google replacement social security card and replacement birth certificate you’ll be able to find the site that will tell you where the nearest offices are for your area.  I would consider looking into a company that monitors for identity theft as well because someone has all your personal info now.

Unless you know who found it and they give it back, there's no getting it back. You have to get all new documents. If you care about your credit at all, set up a kredit karma account to monitor accounts.

Report it to police so there is a record of it being stolen since someone can now steal your identity. You need to get all of those documents replaced through their respective department offices. Then, stop carrying all of those together. Unless you are going somewhere that specifically requires those documents, only carry your driver’s license. We keep the rest of ours locked in a fireproof safe.

I would put a freeze on your credit until you know that your identity has been stolen. I had this happen to me a few years ago and a family member that is in fraud prevention suggested it. And like a few people has suggested, report it to the police.

At least in Oklahoma you can order your SSC online and have it mailed. No proof of Identification needed. You’ll have to have that for your birth certificate and another form of ID unless you mother or father can go with you to get a copy. Your parents can get your birth certificate for you.

You will have to ger a copy of your birth certificate first, then drivers lisence, then social security card. You have to have birth certificate to get all of those things

Your birth certificate can help you get new copies of those things. I would call the social security office first thing Monday morning - if that falls into the wrong hands . . . 😬. You do need a drivers license to obtain your SS card (at least I did 5 years ago when I changed my last name); things could’ve changed.
