I finally went to the gynecologist to get more insight about different types of birth control. I decided to start the birth control and both my gynecologist and the pharmacist told me to start the patch after my period on a Sunday. My period started today and I’m still a little confused.

Do I take the pill after my period cycle has finished for the week and then take it on the upcoming Sunday? Or did they mean take it when my period starts, which means tomorrow (Sunday)?
