Debating on taking a test now or waiting until the day of my period that is supposed to come. I’ve been having a lot of paid in my pelvic area that’s not cramps.

Every woman’s body is different. It all depends on when you implant. So if you don’t implant until 12dpo, no matter the brand of test you take, it’s going to be negative. 
It’s always best to just wait until AF is late to take a test. Again, if you implant at the latest of 12dpo, even if AF is late, it may not show up until AF is late by a couple of days due to it takes a couple of days for HCG to rise to be detected on a pregnancy test.
