IUI... IVF.... or keep trying naturally

Sy

These are hubbys last SA results. They have improved and we have been trying for 10 month with no success. He is taking fertilaid and maca. I have a referral to go see a specialist but the cost is high just to even speak to someone. I have regular cycles and have had no known issues. I guess my main question is do you think I could conceive naturally with these kinds of motility numbers soon? Or would IUI be a better bet? Or just go straight into IVF. Just looking for some help before paying to talk to someone just for them to tell me to keep trying naturally 🙃

Pumpkin seeds are amazing for sperm health (zinc!). CoQ10, fish oil and a men's daily vitamin are also great. Not sure if he drinks caffeine and soda but if so that's all bad for sperm. Lastly, have you tried Preseed? It's a sperm-friendly lubricant. Highly recommend.

From my understanding IUI will not be the recommended route for male factor infertility of low amount of viable sperm, there is no reason to believe why that would be more successful than whatever you do in the bedroom already.Try home kits and save up for IVF.

My husband’s results were the same. He started HCG injections and we are now successfully pregnant.

He was on them for 4 months, they say most are usually pregnant by month 6. We went from 2 shots a week to 3 and were pregnant before he went in for another SA. He obviously doesn’t plan to do that now.

From my understanding iui will prob be your next course of action. The count is good, but naturally will be hard with the motility lower than 20 mil. There are at-home insemination kits (mosie? Or stork? I think are the names). I know nothing about them but have seen people on here try them and be successful. Then if no luck go to a specialist within a few cycles

Well it’s possible to conceive naturally. Usually a total motile count of 20 million is necessary for natural conception but if you try long enough it could happen. His volume is really high which seems to be offsetting a very low concentration of only 10. I think those numbers are good for IUI from what I understand
