Can you get an apt with no income?

Question

I’m a student and currently not working so I don’t have any income and have 5k of savings. Could I still get an apartment? I mean I’m looking for jobs and wouldn’t be hard for me to find one and could start ASAP. 
But my moms boyfriend evicted me and I need to be out in 30 days. 
I have a co-signer.

If you have a co-signer, then I think you’ll be ok. Most apartments require proof of income, but if a co-signer can prove income, then you might be fine.

It’ll be hard. You need proof of income and they also sometimes check credit. Your 5k will be gone pretty fast if you do get an apartment with no job. Did you count in most apartments need security deposit, first months rent, application and processing fees before you move in. Good luck though!

Not likely. They want income to prove you will pay. Even if you have savings, they don’t know if next month it’ll be gone. And then you wouldn’t pay
