Do you give money or food to homeless pan handlers? 
Do you get annoyed when you see them in front of stores with signs or asking everyone that walks by for money? 
Does it bother you if you live in a town full of homeless people does it make you feel unsafe? Or are you completely ok with them in your town?

I always give them money whether it’s a dollar or $20. I really don’t care how they spend it. I would rather know that I did what I believed was right in my heart and hope it gave them a meal than than worry about how they spent it. If I was homeless I would probably buy myself a meal and a beer too

Getting annoyed with someone having to panhandle for an income speaks to the privileges we carry. Who are we to cast judgement or turn a blind eye on a fellow human? 
Ask someone how their day is going if you have a problem giving money. Build connection. Foster community. Challenge exclusion. Don’t be a prude asshole that sticks their nose up at those who are already suffering and please for the love of all things humane, do not teach your children to look down on people who are unhomed.

i usually give food only, unless i know them; and i know they don't do drugs. 
it doesn't bother me that there'a homeless people, it bothers me there's nobody helping them, and people who just ignore them.

Why would I hate them just for existing?! And no they don't make me feel unsafe, I carry. Half of them look like they're about to pass out from hunger, I doubt they have the energy to rob me. So yes I give money or food if I have it

Why would it annoy me? That’s pretty heartless. If I have given food before. If I have food on me in my car, I’ll give it

Someone once said to me that they’ll always give money, and it doesn’t matter what they spend it on, even if it’s alcohol. Because at the end of the day, most people can come home and crack open a beer or have a wine and think nothing of it.... the homeless love lives so hard most of us cannot even imagine, and if they want a small escape too, who are we to tell them no?

They don't bother me. I don't give them anything though. I can't get myself to do it. My dad has worked with so many drug addicts and 90% of them are the homeless people asking for hand outs in my area. People can try to say addiction is a disease, but they were the ones that decided to stick a needle in their arm, etc.  I am not compassionate anymore, let the weak ween themselves out. I know I am probably coming off as a dick, but some of the stuff I have seen from homeless people, and drug addicts which 90% of the time go hand and hand... has made my heart go cold told compassion to try and help.

I never give people money. I will offer to buy some food and a drink for them on my way into the store.
I don't get annoyed seeing them in front of stores with signs or asking people for money. You can ask, I can say no. It's pretty easy now when most people only carry a card anyway. It's not like you're lying. What does annoy me are the ones who come up and wash your windscreen at the traffic light even when you tell them not to please. Then I feel like I owe them something and that makes me mad.
Homeless people don't make me feel unsafe, the crazy people that jump onto the train and start screaming make me feel unsafe. I'm not okay with homeless people being in town in terms of it being a problem that should and can be solved and it's passed over again and again, but if they have chosen to live that way, that's their prerogative as it is mine to live in a house.

My dad was homeless before he met my
Mom so unless I know they’re scammers (which a few of them in my area are and I recognize them) I just give whatever is in my pocket and keep going.
