I've been on the pill for a year and for the past two weeks I've been having heat flashes, nausea, cramps, and really dark spotting that has a strange odor. I know I don't have an STD but I don't know why this is happening. My last period was a month ago and it started a week early and lasted for 2 weeks. I asked my mom to schedule a doctor's appointment and she gave me my insurance card and told me to do it but I'm only 16 and don't know how, or who accepts my insurance. I've also never been to a gynecologist. Is this something serious?
