Why do females miscarriage?

I’m a little uneducated on this topic, & wish to knew real quick some facts on why this happens to many women, I know they don’t have control over this. Pls & thank you

There are many reasons why it happens, such as a chromosome defect, low progesterone, weak cervix, infections, a health issue the mother has, age, smoking, and so forth.

I just recently mc on Feb 24th. 3 days before that me and my husband we involved in a car wreck. A driver blew the stop sign and hit us on the front driver side(I was the passenger). I was rushed to the hospital where they did an ultrasound and was told the baby was fine. I even got to see its little heart beat! But in the ultrasound they found that I had a blood clot in between the placenta and the uterine wall. Fast forward to March 19th(my next appointment) My doctor said on impact that the blood clot popped and that's what caused me to miscarry. The baby only measured 6w6d at the time of no heartbeat. I didn't find out I miscarried until my 2nd appointment. When I was supposed to be 10w1d.
This was my 1st appointment ultrasound (Feb 22) My only picture I have of my little one.

Many reasons: genetic problems with baby, outside forces (like blunt force trauma or bacterial infection), or biological issues with mums body where she couldn’t carry it to term.
