Has anyone announced there pregnancy before there scan?

Hi ladies! Has anyone announced there pregnancy before there scan? 
I am 12 weeks today and don’t have my scan til 14 weeks. I did have an early scan at 9 weeks and everything was fine. 2nd baby and starting to show. Also soo excited to announce it or shall I wait til 14 week scan? x

I’m the same as you. Had a scan at 9+4 but actually baby was growing at 10+4 and I won’t be having my 12 weeks scan until I’m 13+5 but I’ve decided to wait until that scan before doing anything x

If you had one at 9 weeks, it’s not really before a scan. My 9 week ultrasound is the only one I’ve had and I’ve announced (I’m almost 13 weeks); I’m not planning on having another ultrasound until around 20 weeks and didn’t see any cause to wait for that when I already had one good ultrasound. I waited for getting my genetic testing results back.

I announced before my ultrasound at 10-11 weeks. I'm going to share my ultrasound on Mothers Day. Do whatever you want to do and don't let "pregnancy traditions" keep you from doing what you want.

You had a scan... also at 9 weeks the odds are only 5% chance of miscarriage. But I wouldn't recommend it before a scan as if you have a blighted ovum your bump can continue to grow for ages on its own with no baby in there

We conceived through a fertility office so I had a scan at 6, 7 and 8 weeks, then another with my regular OB at 9.5wks and at all 4 everything was perfect. We decided to tell family and close friends on Easter when I was 9w2d but was hesitant to even do that because we had a miscarriage in October. I haven’t told but only a couple people I work with because I’m petrified that if I do and something happens I’ll have to tell everyone all over again. My daughter goes to school where I work and I was going to send her in a T-shirt that says “everybody loves a big sister” so not only would all my staff know but also the parents. I work in childcare and everything spreads like wildfire!! I have another scan at exactly 12wks May 10 so I’m thinking I’ll just wait until the week following that appt and tell them then as long as all looks well! We go to Disney world when I turn 14wks and plan to announce on social media while at Disney. 🙏🏻

We announced at 5 weeks. I had a scan to make sure it wasn’t ectopic again, but I felt okay telling everyone. No matter what should happen, I would want support from my family and friends.

Totally up to you! I'm in the same boat. I am having an early scan tomorrow at 9+6 weeks, and I guess I won't be offered another scan till after 12 weeks then so it's a tough shout. If you can hold on an extra 2 weeks it might be a nice relief for you after having the second scan, and you'll be really confident with your announcement? X

I’m glad I waited for my scan.. had it today at 2.05pm and found out my beautiful baby has passed away at 10 weeks and 2 days 😭 2nd miscarriage really don’t understand why it keeps happening
