Time for TESTS???

Question

After 10 months of trying and 4 cycles using OPKs, my husband and I finally broke down and went to our doctors for some help. His semen analysis showed some morphology issues, but overall good count and motility. My doctor said my cycles are regular (typically 26 days), my OPKs and mid-cycle cramping indicate I’m ovulating, and my thyroid is normal...Soooo now I’m wondering WTF is up, right?!? She said our next step would an HSG Test and/or Trans-vaginal Ultrasound. Just to get one is hundreds of $$$.
Honestly, I’m feeling pretty defeated right now. I’m terrified that if I get these tests, I’ll find out something is seriously wrong. But I’m also terrified that if we wait and keep trying, we’ll be wasting precious time. Has anyone else gotten to this point? And if so, can you give me any insight on what to do next?

I was in a similar situation. We were trying for a while, timing it with calendar and opk. Nothing happening.
After ten months we decided to get tested. We would rather know and be able to do something about it.
Also after trying that long it's nice to feel you are doing something active instead of just hoping.
He got tested first, since it's non invasive and easy. No problems with him.
Then I got tested, Trans vaginal ultrasound and blood. 
Ultrasound all fine, which is a great relief to know. No obstruction etc. Not nice to have done though.
First bloods was fine, was general fertility stuff. 
Other one was not fine, it was the one that measures progesterone to see if I ovulated.
I was sure I did normally ovulate because of the opk though.
We booked a romantic trip away around my ovulation window 2 months after.
I got the blood test done again and it was fine, so was hoping for things working on the trip.
I got really constipated (sorry if tmi) and went to the doctor. She asked about my period because she could see on my file about the tests. I did I was late 1 day and I just thought it was because I was not feeling well.
She asked if I wanted to take a test, since I had ovulated that month there was a chance.
Test was faint but positive!
So now I'm going on my romantic baby making trip away 6 weeks pregnant!
Just hoping it sticks.
I know it's a long story, but my point is that knowing the tests were fine helped me relax. 
I had been worried about all sorts of things, maybe I'm to old, maybe I'm to fat, pcos, thyroid problems, the list is long.
And the tests took all those away.
Also with the tests I felt I was doing something and taking some control getting some facts. Instead of just hoping things were good but fearing things were bad.

It depends on how much of a hurry you’re in. If you’re tired of doing nothing, I would go ahead and get the tests. If you want to give it a little more time to see, you can wait a few more months until you’re over a year and have been using OPKs for at least six months and then do more testing. I personally would rather know sooner rather than later, but I know that can be overwhelming for some people. I have unexplained infertility, so unfortunately I’m right there with you. Good luck!

If he has morphology issues, then this could be the real problem... is he taking supplements/vitamins for this?
