I’ve been at a university all year while he’s been at home. He drives an hour and a half every weekend to get me, and we’re both taking the year off from working. He wants to go to university next year and I’m deciding that I need to do community to save money and work. I can see that he’s excited and wants to go but he’s scared he will never see me. He suggested we get an apartment together where he wants to go and I can do community there (I don’t care what community college I go to, I just want to save money).

Then he asks “will we still be together for that long? Do you promise you still love me and want to do this?” And of course I do but the look he gave me just looks like he doesn’t trust that I love him enough.

He deserves to go and I want to be with him but I don’t know if I can afford it. It’s my turn to put in the work so he can have his dream but I’m so scared that he doesn’t trust me enough anymore. We’ve been together for 2 years and everything has been so perfect.
