Children and birthday cakes disagreement
Okay so my spouse and I are in a little bit of a disagreement. Not fighting just not seeing eye to eye on a subject.
So my sons birthday is Wednesday. This weekend that just passed was his birthday party with his friends (We threw it) he had two cakes one at the party and one when he got home. This up coming weekend he’s having a birthday party at our house with family, also having a cake. He will be having a cake with his mom this week (stepson if I have to add) and my spouse wants to get ANOTHER cake for Wednesday (his birthday) we will only have him for about 2 hours so he can also be with his mom. Now my spouse asked me, I said no, we should just get him a donut/muffin with a candle as he knows about this birthday party with us on Saturday. I think 5 cakes is kinda outrageous? Or is it just me? I’m not looking to get bashed for this I’m just seeing others outlook on the situation. I understand full heartedly it’s his birthday, but he also understands that he will have an actual day with us and his family on the weekend where I’ll prepare his favourite meal and get him a DQ cake because we wouldn’t have enough time to have everyone here Wednesday to throw a party then.
