Do you tip your nail tech if they didn’t do a good job?

My friend and I went to get pedicures for her birthday, I asked for a French pedi and she didn’t do a good job, the tips were uneven and I had to ask her to fix them twice and I still wasn’t satisfied( they were terrible my friends agreed). My friend said she doesn’t tip when they don’t do a good job. The pedicure was $35 and I tipped anyways but now I regret tipping her because well she sucked. What do you do in this situation?

Don’t tip and demand a discount if they can’t fix the issue after three tries. One time my tech made me bleed on 4 fingers, 2 of the tips were crooked and much longer than the others, the acrylic had a giant smudge on 2 fingers... she had a major attitude when I told her she needed to fix the nails. So I didn’t tip and I spoke to the manager and got 90% off the total since the bitch drew blood not once but 4 times which obviously opened me up to several infections.

I would tip bare minimum maybe 10% because I still want to be able to go back to the salon but I wouldn’t use that tech again.

Im from the UK and tipping here isnt a big deal. I only tip my nail technician because ive become friends with the company but ill only leave whatever change i have. Otherwise i wouldnt even leave a tip

In that situation I wouldn't tip. If she would have fixed them correctly after her speaking up then I would tip.

I ask them to redo them until they look the way I want. Especially uneven or crooked. If they can't seem to do it after the second try, I will ask for someone else to do them instead. I will still tip, just not as much.
