Do babies head eventually round out?

My baby’s head isn’t completely flat but he does have a flat spot at the back will it round out? What should I do? He’s 5 months old.

Ask your pediatrician what's normal. Baby could just need more tummy time or could need a special helmet

If I'm not mistaken you need to get a special helmet thing from. The doctor to fix it, it's typically from too much laying on their back or laying in their seat too often

You need to see the pediatrician to make sure it not gone too far to where baby will need a helmet first. My daughter had a mild flat spot that I was able to correct myself (with the guidance of her dr of course). I had her do lots of tummy time, we used the Fisher Price Sit Me Up, the Jumperoo and even a special pillow for when baby would be playing on her activity gym. The pillow is only recommended for supervised use only, not nap or bedtime...just helps at play time if baby does really want to be on their back. I basically did anything and everything to avoid her putting pressure on her flat spot, aside from sleeping. But when she learned to roll, she was a tummy sleeper anyways which helped.

Do more tummy time & try to have them nap on their side (while you're present of course). But also baby wear if you can & when baby starts sitting up more, it will definitely round back out. When baby is on his back, try putting a rolled blanket behind his shoulders/neck so the flat spot isn't worsened.
