Anybody try this?

Saw this on pinterest,  think it might help my 1 week old sleep better. Anybody try this?

My concern is how hot those things get, I use a rice filled heating pad on my stomach during cramps and it makes my whole body sweat and leaves red marks. A baby who didn’t know better and is swaddled could easily get on to it and not be able to roll off.
If you’re nearby and it’s a supervised nap, sure, but not for nighttime sleep IMO.

When my boy was brand new I would put a heating pad on low in his bassinet while I did my last feed with him. Then I’d take the heating pad out right before I paid him down so that the spot was just warm enough. It helped him calm down and get to sleep. I did this from about 1 week old to 6ish weeks then he started to sleep on his own.

I don’t think it’ll work because babies recognize their mother by her scent

I would think it might just work because it warms the mattress for an easier transition. You might could try it and just take it out once baby is asleep.
