Loestrin Fe - breakthrough bleed or M/C???

Hey ladies, I posted this also in birth control but wanted to see if ANYONE has had this happen and what it was???

I started lowdose birth control pills in February (Blisovi FE aka Loestrin FE).

All has been fine, the pills are working marvelously and I haven’t had any issues. I’m taking them continuously per my doc to get rid of periods and it’s been working. Hadn’t had any breakthrough bleeding except super light bleeding when I was on the placebos for the first pack.

I messed up on taking a few pills on the second pack and didn’t think anything of it until I looked back on the month and realized it happened more than I thought it did. Took a pregnancy test before starting the new pack since I would be skipping the placebos and the period (3 weeks ago), negative.

But last Friday I started spotting super watery light brown spotting. Thought it was just breakthrough spotting, until Sunday I went to the bathroom and saw I was passing actual tissue, not just clots. The spotting never picked up, was just light brown leading up to that tissue, then finally started spotting red this morning and it’s steadily picked up in intensity throughout the day.

I took to the inter webs to see if this was normal, but everything that shows up is miscarriage. The dr wouldn’t hear me out and just told me my endometrium was shedding and I had to get an MA to order a quantitative HCG for me to just make sure.

Has this happened to anyone else? Just birth control being a pain? Am I just being ultra ridiculous or would y’all freak out, too?
