What age is best to move in with a significant other in your own place?

I moved in with my fiancé when I was 17 (it was his cousins house) we moved in our own apartment when I was 18 I’m now 20 soon to be 21 in June an currently house hunting to purchase our own place. It’s not really about the age it’s more than just moving in with your SO it’s about responsibility,pet peeves etc.

Depends on how long you’ve been together and what the circumstances are. My hubby and I were together for 3 years before we got our own apartment and moved in together. I was 20 then. I no longer had a place to live and his mom’s house was already overcrowded so we just decided to get our own place together. It all worked out. That was 18 years ago. 😂

When you’ve decided it’s the next right step, and can afford to live on your own! Emphasis on the “when you can afford it” part. Living away from home is very expensive. My husband and I moved in together when I was 19 and he was 21, and rented until I was 23 and he was 25 - if I could go back I would have waited so we could buy a house right away instead of renting and wasting our money/struggling to save for 5 years...
