Ex boyfriend post sorry!!

My ex and I broke up about a year ago after only dating for a few months because he thought he had lost feelings for me after I had come home from traveling with my family for a couple weeks, I said that we should break up because he was unsure about what he felt.

We were both really upset about it and were then on and off as sexual partners for about 7 months, we stopped seeing each other and he had a new girlfriend. They broke up and he is dating someone else now but I haven’t been able to commit to anyone since him and although we go months without talking when we do talk he’s sweet and caring and we always end up talking about what we should have done in our relationship.

I don’t know if him and I should stay friends or if in the future they break up that I should see if him and I could see each other again ??!

Any advice would be amazing!!!
