Would you be upset?

Question

So my boyfriend admitted to me that he has a crush on a coworker. He said he's in love with me and never wants us to break up and that out of respect for me and our relationship he asked to work a different shift. I asked him if he cheated and he swears up and down that he didn't. Would you be upset?

He was honest and up front and then went above and beyond to not be around her on his own accord. While hearing that he has a crush on someone else will definitely sting, I feel like he did everything right.

I can’t answer this as a yes or no question because this would hurt literally anyone’s feelings. The fact that he was open and honest about it and has taken steps to remove himself from the situation shows you how much he really cares about you and your relationship and let’s you know that you really have a good man and nothing to worry about. You may not be able to see that because your feelings may be hurt but crushes are natural and most men and women are gonna get them in a long term relationship. Difference is most men won’t openly tell you about it and probably won’t try to avoid the person they’re crushing on. 🤷🏻‍♀️ he’s a good man, don’t punish him for being honest and human.

he handled this with a lot more maturity than most guys. he clearly cares a lot about you and is willing to distance himself from her. of course it would hurt to hear that he has a crush on someone else, but he seems like hes trying really hard to keep the trust between the two of you

I’d be pissed BUT I would also have to sit back and remember well he told me the truth. A man who is honest doesn’t hide things. The fact that he told you about it should help you know your relationship is strong. If he did something there’s no way in hell he would have told you. Moved shifts maybe but then would have just lied to you. I personally don’t think its natural to have a crush or feelings for someone else. I do think it’s natural to think someone is cute/attractive. But he knew it was wrong and made the choice to switch shifts so good on him. Just remember that! But it’s normal for YOU to be upset I know I would be lol

It’s normal to be attracted to people. It’s human nature. I think he did the mature thing by distancing himself. 
It would hurt to hear, but you gotta try to believe him unless he gives you reason not to.

No because he’s only human and crushes happen - it’s happened to me too. Steered clear of my coworker once I recognized it was a crush, just like your guy did. Your guy recognized what was happening and put distance between he and that coworker cause YOU are the most important to him.
