Swim diaper recommendations?

I have a 17 month old. We will be going swimming for the first time soon and I was wondering what swim diapers everyone uses. Are disposable better than reusable? I don’t want to have a poop incident in the community pool. 😂

I preferred the “iplay” brand of reusable swim diaper. I hated the disposable. When my son took swim lessons the pool required reusable and this is the brand they carried and we love it. They come in actual sizes so one size will usually last the summer. They fit really well too and hold in everything better than disposable ones.

Another vote for iplay. They come in fun colors so I just used that instead of a swim suit bottom on my daughter.

I've  used Iplay reusable  ones.

I just use the regular disposable ones for the actual pool. The cloth type ones make my sons swimsuit not fit right but that kind is great if you're just having outdoor fun in the water.

I always used cloth diapers with waterproof cover.

I've done iplay & alva reusable & I like them both. Our local pools require reusable bc they tend to hold in the poop best. They don't really hold pee, so you can go from car to pool without a real diaper, but they are great for poop. P.S. I also did cloth diapers 1/2 the time so poop in a reusable diaper was nothing new for me.
