Spray tan

I’ve been debating getting a spray tan. I’ve never had one before so I’m not sure how dark to go or how to prepare. I’ve read it only lasts about 7 days which was kind of a let down. Do you all think it’s worth it? Have before and after pictures? I definitely do not want to look orange but I do want it to be noticeable!
