Decreased fetal movement?

Is it normal for baby to not move as much when you’re farther along? I’m almost 32 weeks right now. He’s still moving it just doesn’t feel like as much as he usually does. I did put in a pretty long day at my job where I’m on my feet all day would that effect anything?

My son wouldn’t move heaps, only for a couple hours at night and i wouldn’t feel him for until the next night around the same time. It may be normally but if you’re worried go get checked

I was hospitalized for decreased movement and then delivered a month early because of it as well. Please get checked out. Had I not, my son wouldn’t have made it.

Whilst decreased movement is not normal, change in movement can be. For example I rarely feel my baby “kick” anymore, maybe 1-2 times per day rather than the 1-2 times per hour when I was in the 24-32 weeks (I’m now 39 weeks) but I feel her moving pretty much constantly, she squirms around and whatever. It’s because she’s got less room.
Always always ring your healthcare provider if you’re a little bit concerned. You’re not wasting their time, it’s what they’re there for. I’ve been into my maternity assessment centre twice because I haven’t been able to get her to move after an hour or so. Both times she was moving and kicking pretty much as soon as they hooked me up to the monitoring machine and I felt stupid. Both times I was told by the midwives that I’d done the right thing going in.

My girl was a freaking ninja in there!
So in third trimester I was worried a lot because she had days with crazy movement and then days with less noticeable movement.
If in doubt, get it checked.. Better safe than sorry! But I'd you're busy it'll take more violent movements to notice that they're moving around so it can be perfectly normal not to feel as much.

If it’s decreased fetal movement it’s not normal. But, with that being said when I was on my feet a lot I think I just wasn’t noticing the movements so it felt like less. Of course if you’re concerned just call your OB or midwife.
