Exploding head syndrome

I’m pretty sure I suffer from this. I wake up (can’t estimate how many times. But not back to back) either from very loud (like the tv being turned all the way up) screams, or scary songs (like the Mario dying when you lose all your lives in Mario sunshine, or the PlayStation failed sound/red screen) when I’m falling asleep or randomly in the middle of my dreams.

You may not think this is anything and say it’s nightmares, but I’m serious when I say these kinds of things happen (just happened), been happening my entire life. These aren’t random nightmares. I Woke up 20 minutes ago because in my dream, I was in a therapy session with my computer, I was trying to turn off music that I was playing, I closed all the windows and muted my computer but it wouldn’t stop, eventually I shut my computer, then all of a sudden everyone in the room started screaming (full volume on a tv), and my vision glitched (like on a computer), the whole room turned red, everyone’s neck cranked back with their mouth open, and I woke up with my body completely numb, couldn’t move for 10 seconds. Before that, my dream was 100% normal doing normal things (I even ate 2 Italian footlongs). These random things happen in my dreams and I can’t control it.

I do think I have this Syndrome because I have trauma in my life that involves loud screaming/sounds. Anything like loud bangs or yelling that happens around/to me, and I tense up or start to cry. I’m definitely going to see a sleep (?) doctor about this to get some answers when I move out this year. I want to properly understand what’s going on with me and my sleep, because it’s the most affected and I’ve been dying for answers for years now. My family can’t afford it, so that’s why I’m waiting to seek treatment. Even sitting here now, my anxiety is spiked and I’m trying to properly calm myself down.
