It seems like Emerson has gotten so popular lately... I just want to see how many people have named their daughters that, know people who have, or will in the future. I have loved this name for about 5 years before it got so popular and I’m not sure I want to use it anymore because of that :/

I see it all the time on this app spelled all sorts of ways. But at the end of the day it's the same name being used a ton. I've got three people with baby Emerson's on FB two girls and a little boy.

I personally think it’s too popular and I don’t think of a girl when I hear the name. I imagine a super old man for some reason. I just don’t think it’s very feminine.

I'm in the same boat! I read a book years ago and the lead character was Emerson/Emmy. I fell in love and was set. I told my husband that would be our girl name before we even got engaged. Now I don't want anything to do with the name because of its popularity and I hate it.

It was the 150th most popular girl’s name in the US last year. So it’s not on the unique side, but it’s also not crazy popular. I actually liked it, but my partner shot it down.
