If you and your partner have a baby together do you think it’s reasonable for them to ask you to pay for diapers on an alternating schedule even though they know you don’t work? For example they pay for the diapers one time and you pay for them the next?

For clarification we’re together but not living together. He still lives with his parents and works everyday. I’m the one home with the baby and he hardly sees us. Our relationship is definitely in a rough patch but that’s beside the point.

I’m just a little upset as to the fact that he wants to split the costs 50/50 even though we agreed he’d be the one working and I’d stay home so we don’t have to pay childcare. And if I don’t have the money he’ll talk shit to me and say I better come up with something because he paid last time.
