Postpartum Pads?

I’m a FTM so I’m unsure which pads would be best for postpartum, what are your favorite pads? Like brand, size, and etc.

I bought the Always Discreet underwear and it was WAY easier than using pads. I did have to keep a HUGE trash bag in my bathroom until the lochia stopped but it was so much easier and more comfortable than changing a pad all the time

Depends what you like I know a lot of mom liked to use depends however for me personally that just wasn’t for me and the bleeding afterwards has an odor to it so I changed every few hours and those things aren’t cheap so it just didn’t make sense to use them. I liked the over night always pass then once the bleeding slowed a little I went to always Infinite pads. I’m weird about pads I do not like the ones that feel like plastic kind of material they make me uncomfortable.

Just get depends they are way more comfortable than a damn pad ugh each time I used a hospital pad it would just slip and slide around I ended up having my mom bring me some depends, I worked these for the first week and a half after my c section

I would give always discreet adult diapers a try, I’m using them with my second because the giant pads and mesh panties they give you afterwards are terrible.

I suggest 100% cotton pads with no weave.  Weaving/netting and fragrances and dyes can cause irritation if you've had tearing.  I used Seventh Generation with my first (heavy flow and overnights).  I used giant hospital pads and/or Depends for the first few days though when bleeding is very heavy.

I started using Kotex night time pads at first then about 3 weeks pp used the thinner Kotex pads
