How to make foundation look smooth ?!

What foundations do y’all use to make your face look airbrushed and smooth?! How do you apply it?! I’ve tried wet beauty sponge and brush !

Highend: Dior airflash foundation. I spray it onto my brush then work it into the skin (its buildable coverage).. then I take a clean beauty blender and press it in and make sure everything is blended.. then I apply my concealer and powder my tzone .. after I finish applying the rest of my makeup I use an illuminating setting spray. My foundation always looked cakey and uneven when I used too many matte products. 
For drugstore I like L’Oréal lumi foundation.. I dot it on my face then blend it out when a beauty blender and do the same steps as I do with highend. 
Keep in mind that prep is key.. wash your face, exfoliate once-twice a week.. moisturize.. etc.

Unless you have literally flawless skin I don’t think it’s ever possible to get the “airbrush finish” outside of pictures lol. But I think it’s important to start with a good base if you want your foundation to look good. Treat your acne if you can, exfoliate, tone, moisturize etc. Primer is a must. I use maybelline master prime. Sometimes I set my face with powder before my foundation for a “flawless” finish. Regular face powder or translucent powder. I have combination oily skin so idk the outcome with dry skin.

I really love Physician's formula healthy foundation! It makes my flawed skin look nice & healthy. I also think it's important to use a good primer. I like Loreal magic perfecting base. (when I can get a coupon for it because it is on the pricey side for drug store!) It has a blurring effect, minimizes my large pores & always makes my foundation look amazing!

Moisturise and prime before, the softer and more hydrated your skin is the smoother and more blended it will be, don’t use power unless completely necessary if you’re oily or sweat a lot, and also use a lot of setting spray, it will make it look smooth and natural and glowy
