Do you text your bf a lot? How important is texting in a relationship ?

With my ex bf he didn’t text me a lot & I knew he wasn’t busy so it kind of made me insecure 
With my new bf he texts me a lot but when he’s busy he doesn’t. He’s going on a bachelor trip this weekend & he said he’ll be busy but my insecurity is coming out again. I know I shouldn’t expect texts but somehow I’m relating how much he texts me to how much he likes me? 
Can someone knock some sense into me ? Lol. My ex has really messed up my views on a healthy relationship.

He already told you he’d be busy this weekend, so maybe don’t expect a lot of interaction. He’s going to be doing things with his friends, so why don’t you find some things to keep you busy, as well?

My husband and i don’t text much during the day. He’s an electrician so he doesn’t have time too. 
I know what your feeling though from past relationships, but in time, when your with the right one that feeling should disappear 😊 he’s telling you in advance he’ll be busy, you don’t want him to be the guy constantly on his phone and the same if roles reversed and you were on a bachelorette.

When we were long distance we texted all the time. Now we live together so not so much. Maybe tell him its making you alittle insecure and ask him if he can find a few moments to text you very couple hours or at least call before he goes to bed. Also like someone else said find something to keep you busy while he’s gone

If you already know you are going to be insecure while hes out partying then talk to him before hand about it. If he's a good man he will help get your insecurities on the right track so they go away eventually.  But at the same time you gotta put yourslef in his shoes...what if you were going to a bachelorette party and he had insecurities and wanted you to text him the whole time....you wouldnt like it but would try to accommodate as much as you could right?

We texted everyday but I wouldn’t say a lot lol. We both work days so we will ask each other how our days are going and talking about what to have for supper/errands and stuff. I don’t work Fridays but he does, so we still don’t text much because he’s busy working and I try to do fun things with our son. Outside of that we are usually in the same place so no point, unless I’m in a tub and have to tell him something
