Gripe water?

Does anyone use gripe water? Have you had success? My daughter gets terrible gas. We give her probiotics, and they seem to help. We missed a few doses so she is struggling a bit. I was wondering if gripe water might help and if it is more immediate relief. She is 5 weeks old. I gave contacted my pediatrician asking if I can start gripe water, just waiting to hear back.

Be careful. My son has used it a few times and it make him projectile vomit across our sectional in our living room. Some babies just can’t handle it.

My baby is 5 weeks old and started being really fussy in the evenings and waking up crying during the night. She never used to cry like this! I tried gripe water last night and she slept really well. She definitely had trapped wind as within 20 minutes of giving her the gripe water the wind was coming up easily. I have given it again this evening to see how she goes!

My Baby, who’s 5 weeks was super fussy off and on all day yesterday, literally all day. After not being able to console him normally, I went to Walmart late last night and bought a bottle of Gripe Water. I gave Chi a dose at around 10ish... he slept all night. He woke up for a feeding around 5:30am and went right back to sleep. He just woke up for a feeding about 20 minutes ago. Guess who’s sleep again?
He was so restless yesterday, I feel like he’s catching up on his sleep. #GripeWater is the bees knees!

I was using Ovol drops for my sons gas and they worked good. Ended up starting the chiropractor on Monday and no need for the drops anymore chiropractor has done wonders

My little one does really well with gripe water. She’s a gassy little thing but I mix it in her bottle before bed (we use the nighttime gripe water) and it works wonders. She sleeps from 9pm-5am. The simethicone has drops did nothing for her but the gripe water did. Every baby is different and no one knows your baby like you. Go with your mommy gut - it’s usually right 😊

My baby couldn’t handle it she would choke on it any time I tried giving it to her in any way. I took her to her pediatrician and he gave us some gas relief medicine and it’s helping tremendously.

I recently switched pediatricians, I asked my first one about gripe water and she said my daughter was too young to be having gripe water so I never gave it to her. But her new pediatrician recommended gerber soothe probiotic drops and it’s worked great for my daughter ☺️ it’s $30 tho which is pretty pricey

I would do some research on this and decide if you want to use it or not. I bought it after so many good reviews, after reading more about it I decided it not to use it.
