WORTH A READ! If you have ginger hair you don't like

D

So I am willing to put up these hideous pictures of myself in order to share this with everyone! I recently had my hair done professionally to lighten and get golden and blonde tones ontop of my dark brown hair however I knew it needed another go as my hair was so dark to start with but because of money I was impatient and decided to take matters into my own hands and buy a home packet dye of bleach to put more highlights in. Now the underneath went great and for a DIY job I was very pleased! BUT the top didn't take to the dye as well and I ended up with a copper gingery mess! I panicked and started looking up YouTube videos of how to get rid of copper tones at home and I ended up finding a video of a girl that used a smidge of blue semi-permanant hair dye mixed with conditioner and put it all over the hair and let it set for 5 mins to nuteralize the orange tones. It's said if you have more yellow colour then to use purple however mine was more orange so I needed blue I thought hey it's semi permanent colour so it's not gonna do any more damage so I gave it a go as it did make sense I probably left it on longer than 5 mins but no more than 10! And I KID YOU NOT my results are as shows in the picture from orange ginger copper to ashy more blonde tones I honestly couldn't believe it I took these pictures in the same lighting within half an hour of eachother so the pictures are very truthful no editing!! I'm not saying don't pay to have your hair done professionally as it obviously pays off by not having these issues however if you have done what I did this honestly is a life saver!!!!!!! 😁😁😁😁😍😍😍😍

Update! I dyed my hair one more time to get some lighter tones higher up and used this method again to tone it and this is my current final look :) hope this helped atleast one person out there :) x
