I had a 32 week ultrasound scan. Doctor says that the baby’s brachiocephalic vein is in normal range but still large. Anything under 4.9 is normal and hers is 4.4. But usually it is 4.9 at full term. So I am assuming they are worried about it being over 4.9 by 36 weeks. He wanted me to schedule with a pediatric cardiologist ASAP for an echocardiogram. I am so scared. He said this condition is rare and usually not found in utero. He says it is when so may not be connected properly or other veins are draining into it. He kept reiterating it is in normal range yet I have to go to a specialist. My appointment is Tuesday and I am so nervous. It is all I can think about.
