I met my best friend about three years ago in college. Well yesterday I graduated with my Associates Degree. I told him two months ahead of time the date of my graduation and where it was. He promised to be there. A month later he moved to a town only two hours away. He still promised he'd go if we could pick him up. We made plans for us to go get him a day before graduation, and he could stay in my mom's guest bedroom, or I would pay for him a hotel room. He couldn't stay with my family - grandma, husband, brother, and I - because we live in a really small two bedroom apartment since everywhere else is too expensive. He said he'd rather stay with my mom. He really likes my mom, so it was fine. The month until graduation goes by, and I asked him a day before we were supposed to pick him up if he still wanted to do everything as planned. He said yes. Then the next day I ask for his new address so we can head out to go get him. The hours start to roll by and no response. He finally responded late at night when it was too late to go get him. He said he was partying all day and he was too drunk to reply, so he wasn't going to my graduation. When I got mad at him, he tried changing it around to he didn't feel comfortable going because he would have to stay with my mom when he spent a whole month and yesterday telling me that he wouldn't mind at all.
