Change of scenery and routine can really help. 
Surrounding yourself with loved ones as often as you can (or feel comfortable). 
Small things like showering early in the morning and changing your clothes daily can help you feel refreshed.

Not depression, but I had anxiety for years which is related. I tried everything to deal with it on my own and I finally decided to seek help and get medication. It has made a world of difference for me.

I like to listen to music, draw, write, and I recently found out I have a big interest in gardening! It’s really relaxing.

I do a lot of writing and listening to motivational speeches on you tube

How I deal with depression is trying to occupy myself. Like doing something I enjoy. Or going somewhere to distract me from the depression. Surrounding myself with positive people. Those types of things.
