Which type of contractions hurt WORSE ??

i know each isn’t pleasant but i’ve been told that back labor is worse then having regular stomach contractions and vice versa , my baby is sunny side up and im almost 35 weeks,  i just wanna be 100% prepared .. so can you ladies tell me how contractions felt for you

I never experienced back labor, but I have heard it is much worse. Contractions genuinely aren’t anywhere near as bad as I thought they would be. I wasn’t even convinced I was in labor with my first until I got to the hospital and they immediately admitted me. I think I have a fairly high pain tolerance, but I also heard horror stories and was convinced it would be much worse than it was.

I have had back labour with all my four and knowing it will happen this time it’s usually due to the woman having underlying back issues in life I have lower spine nerve damage so it’s not pleasant

Back labor is infinitely worse! If I hadn’t had so much back labor with my son, I probably wouldn’t have thought labor was so bad. Back labor feels like your muscles are being ripped apart. I swear I didn’t even fee the contractions because I was so focused on my back. No epidural.

I haven't had a baby yet but I'm terrified of back labor! My boy has been hanging out in my back most the time and it hurts so bad just when he kicks me in my back/butt that I can't imagine how it'll feel laboring. 😬 I have heard getting on your hands and knees helps!

Back labor is so much worse probably because NOTHING fixes it. Not pushing, rubbing it, not an epidural, not a position change, nothing. It’s just constant.

The back labor was the worst!! I always saw videos and heard stories of women in labor that talked about how they were relaxed and talking in between contractions and I thought they were fucking high or something when my labor started because the back labor is CONSTANT. It’s still there in between contractions and nothing helps it. And it intensifies with contractions. I was in so much pain from it I was shaky before I even left for the hospital and then when we got there I couldn’t walk in, they had to come out in the middle of the parking lot and get me in a wheelchair. The epidural, though was a lifesaver! It was all gone after that!

My first son was posterior and the back labour was f*cking hardcore. Sorry for the language but oh my goodness it was on a whole different level of pain. Thankfully he flipped right as I started pushing so he came out the right way 🙂

I had back labour and a precipitous labour. I managed ok with the back labour but it did make me puke just before transition and I couldn’t sit still. I had to ride in the car during transition and it was the absolute worst part of labour. Just after we got to the hospital he rolled into the right position and the back labour stopped and it was such a relief. He was born twenty minutes later and pushing was honestly a breeze compared to back labour/transition in the car.
