My LO is 15 months (almost 16 months) and my husband and I made the decision Friday night to cut his pacifier cold turkey which he only got at night time and for naps. He has done well and only cries for 1-2 minutes after we put him down. He falls asleep by himself in the same amount of time as he did with the pacifier. He sleeps just as well without it as well. He started to get a build up of plaque which is what led us to our decision because he doesn't spit it out while he is sleeping and keeps it in his mouth all night long.

My mother told me he is too young and that I am a bad Mom for doing this so soon. I was apparently 4 years old when she took mine away which I believe is way too old.

So am I a bad mom for taking it away too 'young'?
