So I had a missed miscarriage 4 weeks ago. We went for our 12 weeks ultrasound only to find the baby died at 8 weeks and my body just hadn’t figured it out. They booked me for a D&C the next day, April 5th. I bled/spotted for about two weeks straight, and have been normal for two weeks. Now on May 2nd I started spotting, May 3rd & 4th I had a light flow and short cramps. And today, May 5th, I stopped bleeding.

Normally my periods are pretty heavy and crampy, and last 5 days. So... was that my period? Or just leftover blood from the D&C? Our midwife told us to wait until a regular period before trying again, so we’d really like to know. Anyone experienced this before?
