How many swaddles?

I have 3 newborn the Velcro swaddles? Do I need more? I also have 3muslin swaddles. I also received 2 3-6 month halo swaddles? Do I need these or no? Thanks FTM learning all the things lol

I’d say no. I doubt you’d need any more anyway but I’d wait to see if you and your baby like them first. Mine didn’t like quite a few things we thought they might :) x

We never had more than 2 velcro swaddles (and zero muslin swaddles - I hated them!). We never needed more than this.

You just have to figure out what works but I can’t see needing more than 2 or maybe 3 when you find one that works. I have the Ollie swaddle and I love it, but it’s kind of pricey so I only have one. When it has to be washed I have a miracle blanket swaddle I use as backup. I tried halo sleep sack swaddle as backup a few times but he always busted out of it. I bought the halo and the miracle blanket at a consignment sale so I would have a few options to try.

We loved the halo sleeper sac but it was winter so it really helped keep him warm. The swaddle sacks he hated but he was so little he was constantly breaking out of it. I would wait

I had 2, one to wear and one to wash. I could use the same one for 2 or 3 nights as long as baby disnt spit up on them

I’d wait. My son never liked being swaddled, so we never used the ones we had. If you discover that you do need more, they’re easy to find.

I have 4 velcro swaddles that were given to me and thats all I'm going to use. I bought sleep sacks because once they can roll over they need their hands free, so I registered for a couple more of those instead.

I think you have enough. Swaddling should stop at 8 weeks or the first sign of rolling over the AAP, so you could take the bigger ones back and get sleep sacks or sleepers

Like others said, wait to see what works for your babe. We had a bunch of Velcro swaddles given to us and our son broke out of them every time. We switched to the Muslin ones for a while, then to sleep sacks, then back to Muslin swaddles.

That should be enough to get you started. We usually had 3-4 of each size, but I’d wait to buy more until you know which ones you like the most. We loved Halo swaddles for newborn and 1 month size, but after 3 weeks my son started escaping out of them so we switched to Love to Dream swaddles. If you have Amazon prime you can usually get swaddles delivered in 1-2 days so I felt there was no need to stock up on most things.
