Did you have gender disappointment?

Obviously, as long as baby is healthy is the main goal.
My fiance and I already have a son and we agreed on only having one more. I'm currently pregnant with our second and last and I'm praying, hoping and wishing for a baby girl. I've always envisioned myself with a daughter so if I find out I have another boy on the way, I may shed a few tears. 
Of course either way I'll be grateful for this little blessing to complete our family so please don't take this the wrong way❤

I had it bad the first time around. I always thought I’d have a son first, so I was shocked to find out I was having a girl. 
This time around, my heart desired a boy again simply because my thought was that I’d love to have one of each. But, God had other plans and I’m having another daughter. It’s actually such a blessing because these two will be lifelong buddies and that is a gift to them both that I never would have envisioned. 
Either way, it’s going to be exciting! Congratulations on this pregnancy💕

I really really wanted a girl but he’s another boy. I struggled for a few months feeling sad and jealous of people who get to have girls. But now that he’s born I can’t imagine  anything else

I felt the same with our second but then when I found out it was another boy I was surprisingly fine. I didn’t mind at all! I was just happy to be pregnant with a healthy baby and was excited to see my boys together. Now I am pregnant with a surprise baby and it’s a girl. It always works out.

My SO and I have recently been talking about the future, including marriage and having another baby. The thing is, he only wants two kids, including my son that I have from a previous marriage. So that means only having one more baby, which I’m fine with. I have been coming around to the thought of only having one more child, and trying to figure if I would be disappointed one way or another. I wasn’t disappointed with my son, per say, though in a way I had hoped to give my family the first granddaughter. Whenever it is that I end up having another baby, I like to think that I would be happy either way. I know more about taking care of baby boys than I do baby girls, but I would love to have a girl too. 🤷🏼‍♀️ So it’s hard to say.

I did only because our families wanted a girl so bad so I felt pressured to have one after 5 grandsons. I ended up having #6 and everyone was disappointed so I felt like a failure. I now have 2 boys and would love to have a 3rd!
