Baby food for 9 month old?

Son will be 9 months tomorrow. I’ve been feeding him two 4 oz servings of baby food each day along with 7.5 oz of formula in between feedings. Am I feeding him too much?

Some say I feed my son too much, but I know I dont. I feed him the amount he wants until hes satisfied. The only way of them telling us they are full is by turning their head to the side and lips tight shut or smacking the spoon/bottle out of their mouths. Until then I'll feed my son. He eats very healthy for his age and is an amazing eater. Every baby is different with how much they want to eat and do eat. Do what is best for your baby :)

Mine has usually the whole 4 oz each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  She has bottles in between food.  Eats about 20-24 oz of formula a day now bc she prefers baby food.  Dr says it's perfectly fine and she will prob wean herself off formula.

Just remember food under one is just for fun. The main source of nutrition should be breastmilk or formula

Please elaborate...  the way you wrote this it sounds like you are giving only 1 bottle all day and only two servings of solids. If so, I would say that’s not enough. We do breastfeed or bottle 5 times a day and solids 2-3 times a day (whatever time works with our schedule for that day) per recommendation of our pediatrician. I haven’t measured what we give for solids which would be even more difficult now that we’ve switched from purées to finger foods. We let her eat however much she wants and a lot of it ends up on the floor.
