Do you think they will book my anatomy scan before 18 weeks? (Gone until 22+weeks)

Couldn't refuse an offer to visit some friends over the summer - but it'll cover weeks 18-22 of my pregnancy. I'm seeing the midwife on Tuesday, but in your opinion, would they really make me wait to be 22+ weeks for the anatomy scan, or could I expect to go before? 
I want an early scan, to reveal the gender when over there! 😂 Did you go before 18weeks? Did you have a reason for it?

Doesn’t hurt to ask. I didn’t even get my scan until 23 weeks lol so they could make you wait until after

They’ll probably have you wait. The baby needs to be big enough for them to see everything they need to check.

I would definitely ask! But honestly I think they’ll make you wait. Where I live they won’t book until 19 weeks, and because the main purpose it for them to take measurements and check baby I don’t think they’ll do it before 🤔but who knows! Maybe a week early isn’t a big deal! Maybe you could book a 3D one privately? Here they do those for anatomy as early as 16 weeks 😋

They should book it before but it's most accurate at 20 weeks onward. I'm 17 weeks and I've been booked for my anatomy scan in my 20th week for 2 weeks now.

I think they will make you wait. There’s a good chance that if you go before 18weeks, they won’t get all the measurements they need (it’s especially hard to get components of the heart and those are very important to know)

I got an elective gender ultrasound at 14 weeks and then had my anatomy scan at 20
