Bring milk supply back?

Question

My baby is 7 weeks I started out breastfeed and my nipples would bleed from the latch being wrong. We switch to formula and I haven't breastfeed since when he was around 2 week. My supply is barely there I'm wonder if it's possible to bring back my supply and start breastfeeding again? He's also on total comfort formula.

Yes it’s possible! I’d put baby on your breast as much as possible and top him off with a bottle once if he’s still hungry. Then pump while he’s eating that and also pump in between feedings. Lactation products could also help! Another thing you could do is talk to your OB about prescribing a medication to boost your supply. My friend did that after getting mastitis & she’s still breastfeeding her 2 year old.

If you did get your supply back it is u likely your baby will latch to breastfeed. So you would be exclusively pumping. 
If you really wish to try to get your supply back then you need to get with a lactation specialist for support and proper guidance. 
Start by pumping every 2 hours around the clock. Like you did/would have when baby was born. Even if you arent getting anything pump for 20 min at least. 
Power pump. 
Get plenty of water and calories in. 
It is going to take A LOT of work to get to where you would want but relactating is possible. 
Once your milk gets to enough to feed your baby at each pumping session then you can drop back to every 4 hours. Don’t drop night pumping till your baby is sleeping through the night and you are making enough milk to feed your baby from just pumping during the day.

Call a lactation consultant. It’s definitely possible!!  I think you’d need to pump to build supply back up but with an LC’s help, you might be able to get baby to latch again. If you switch out bottles for an sns feeder or start syringe feeding... and lots of skin to skin with baby to get them back to breast is helpful!!
