what's your favorite breastfeeding position?

my son is super heavy and I've been struggling with how to hold him while feeding him. it seems like we both get frustrated because its uncomfortable for the both of us :( and seems like his latch is off now too. any tips?

How about lying down? I breastfeed him lying probably 70% of the time...my baby is also heavy and I think he latches better cause that way I don’t struggle holding him.

I definitely agree that a boppy pilow helps ALOT when nursing. I prefer the cradle position, lay my daughter on the pillow and she seems comfy like that ☺️

Hmm I use a boppy idk if you have one but it makes it so much easier. I just rest my arm under his head and he basically lays on top of the boppy instead of me holding his whole body. Also sometimes if he’s not latching right or being lazy, instead of resting him on my arm I’ll actually hold his head with my hand so I can kinda guide and help him and usually I’ll switch after he’s got it OR if I’m feeling really lazy I’ll just recline back and lay his body flat on top of mine and kinda balance the side of his head with my hand so he doesn’t tip but mostly he does all the work this way it’s very nice. Another one is side lying where you
Lay on your side and face them towards you, literally requires zero work. I know lots of stuff but hopefully this helps! 😂

I use a Boppy and I always sit in a chair with arms so that both ends of the Boppy stay lifted enough and I don’t have to use my arms much.  He lays on the Boppy with his stomach facing me and I have to hold my boob for him or he comes unlatched.

I sit cross legged on the bed or wherever and lean forward. I cradle him in my lap. I’ve found nursing pillows just get in the way.

Try the laid back position. I just have her sit facing me straddling my leg until she gets a good latch and then just lean back in a chair or against a pillow and baby will just lay on your stomach and you don’t have to do much to support them.

Clutch or football hold and she's big enough now to basically sit on the bed or couch and i just support her while she eats.
