Can a miscarriage only last one day?

I’m 5w2d. I went to the doctor today for some bleeding. I’m not really cramping and haven’t had any weird clots or anything. I started bleeding last night and it stopped today. Wasn’t just spotting but wasn’t like a period either. She did an ultrasound and didn’t see any bleeding which she said was good. she didn’t see a baby either but she said it was too early. Could it still be a miscarriage or with miscarriages is it usually a lot of blood and bad cramps?
